Palo Santo wood (Bursera Graveolens) comes from a tree indigenous to South America and is very popular in the countries of Ecuador and Peru. The tree’s natural range extends from the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico all the way south to Peru.
The wood is traditionally used as an incense in ceremonies and rituals as well as for keeping away mosquitos or “bad” vibes. It has a very pleasant aroma of citrus, mint, and pine.
The wood is very resinous and produces a vibrant essential oil through vapor distillation.
All Sacred Body Rituals Palo Santo is naturally cured on the forest floor for 4 up to 10 years and is ethically harvested, offering sustainably high-quality Palo Santo products.
